Privacy Collection Notice and Acknowledgement

Roza’s Gourmet is a brand of Riviana Foods Pty Ltd. 

Riviana Foods, together with its associated entities and complementary businesses (collectively “Riviana”, “we” or “us”) is committed to fulfilling its obligations under the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”).  The purpose of this collection statement is to notify you of certain matters as required under the APPs.

If you are providing personal information about or on behalf of an individual, you must ensure the relevant individual is made aware of this collection statement.

How we collect Personal Information

We collect personal information from you directly, if it is practical to do so, in the following ways:

• when submitting forms to us (either in hard or soft copy) for matters such as general enquiries, subscriptions, updating personal details or ordering goods;
• submitting a request or query to us face-to face, in writing (by letter, email or fax) or by telephone;  and
• in supplying goods and services to you.

Purpose of the collection of personal information

We collect personal information for the following reasons:

• advising customers of new products, competitions and promotions;
• making contact with individuals and organisations that Riviana deals with or wants to deal with; 
• processing and making payments; and
• forming agreements for the supply of goods or services.

Collection of your personal information from third parties

We may collect personal information about you from a third party if you have been nominated as a representative or a contact person of that entity in its dealings between us and the relevant third party. 

Consequences if personal information is not collected

If you do not or are unable to provide us with the requested personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the information, goods or services which you have requested or finalise payment for goods that you have supplied to Riviana. 

Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose your personal information to our related bodies corporate, contractors, agents and third parties in order to provide goods, services or information requested and to process applications and communications. We may also provide your personal information to our third party service providers who provide services in connection with the operation of our business.

Complaints, access and correction 

Riviana’s privacy policy contains information about how you can access personal information we hold about you, seek correction to that information and submit a privacy complaint and our process in dealing with these such complaints. 

Disclosure overseas

We do not disclose your personal information overseas, unless we have otherwise specified. Certain of our third party service providers may use cloud technology and store and share data on overseas servers in the United States, Canada and the European Union.
